Django User Integration

  • 26 Apr

Hey guys,

I have a project that we're just starting to plan here. It's basically an intranet for an organization. So nothing is really public facing, users would need to register and be granted access. So I am leaning toward using Django for this (obviously thus why I'm here). One of the requirements is to have a forum for user discussion. What I'm wondering is - does this forum integrate with the normal Django user database or use it's own? If it uses it's own about how much work would it be to integrate the two. Obviously if users are logging into a website I would like their a) forum account to match b) be created at the same time c) not have to log in again.

It uses all the django built-ins without modifications, you should be able to do everything you named. The user model/table is the same.
